The “SUNNY” weather reminds me of a few things ….
(1)The “SUNNY” weather of Chennai as described by Periyar Ramasamy Naickar “Its hotter for 9/12 months and rest the hottest”
(2) “SUNNY” reminds me of the Great Little Master Sunil Gavaskar who named his bat as “TONY”
(3) “SUNNY” reminds me the translated dialogues of a Tamil movie enacted by Prabu deva , an NRI and Mayilsamy , as a slum dweller.
A meeting is conducted by Prabhu Deva in the slum and Drunken Mayilsamy is the translator (interpreter??)
P.D : Good morning Ladies and gentlemen
M.S : அல்லாருக்கும் வணக்கோம்
P.D : This is a sunny day…
M.S : உச்சி வெய்யில் மண்டய பொளக்குது.
Within few days of watching this movie..on my way towards a friend’s house to grieve her mother’s demise , few steps away from the friend’s house, met Mr.Mayil samy face to face ,who resides in our saligramam neighbourhood , on his morning stroll. Next few minutes of mine spent in their house , controlling my emotions , would have got me an Oscar, if noticed by an observer... :D
(4)When I landed in San Francisco during my last trip , a co-passenger greeted me as follows “Hey, welcome to US, It’s a “SUNNY” day …..Have a great trip…”(It was Oct 16,2012).
I was staggered what was special being sunny around noon (11.30 am ) and why I was greeted for a sunny day until I disembarked the aircraft. It was really cold & windy , for the preceding 6 months until I returned back.
(Amma…. Do u ever wash the sweater you wear _ My son in law)
(5)Last but the least, If the word “SUNNY “ reminds you of the Canadian born porn actor turned Bollywood actress “SUNNY” Leone…….the Management is not responsible for further consequences……. ;)
Awaiting in anticipation , for the “SUNNY” days ahead…… :
